Writer and poet, he has been a co-writer, interviewer, and content director of the legendary series "Rito y Geografía del Cante" and "Rito y Geografía del Baile". He produced 115 episodes for TVE (Spain's Public Television),

Moreover, Velazquez is a regular contributor to the RTVE music record label, for which he directs the Our Flamenco Collection. Since 1984, he writes, directs and presents the radio program "Our Flamenco" for the National Public Radio in Spain.

Among his many awards, he has received numerous times the National Prize of the Chair of Flamencology. This is a very special treat!
